Man Arrested After Home Invasion, Holding Ex-Wife And Boyfriend At Gunpoint In Irving Home

IRVING, Texas – An armed home invasion in a North Irving neighborhood Saturday night ended with police forcing entry into a residence and arresting a man accused of holding two people at gunpoint, according to the Irving Police Department.

Officers were dispatched at about 10:24 p.m. Jan. 17 to the 2800 block of Trinity Street, near Johnston Elementary School, after a caller reported a disturbance and said a man had kicked in a door and entered a home while armed with a handgun. The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Ricardo Gabriel Hernandez.

When officers arrived, they heard a woman screaming for help inside the residence. Due to the immediate threat, officers forced entry into the home and detained Hernandez along with two victims, identified as his ex-wife and her current boyfriend…
