The deadline to pay 2025 property taxes in Dallas County is approaching, with payments due by Jan. 31, 2026, according to the Dallas County Tax Office.
Property owners who do not submit payment by the deadline will incur an additional 7 percent of the unpaid balance in penalty and interest beginning Feb. 1. Dallas County Tax Assessor-Collector John R. Ames urged residents to take action ahead of the cutoff to avoid added costs.
The tax office also reminded taxpayers who plan to mail payments to pay close attention to postmark requirements. Payments sent by mail are credited based on the U.S. Postal Service postmark date, not the date the payment is placed in a mailbox.
