On Jan. 26, J. Alexander’s — the upscale casual restaurant known for wood-fired steaks, handcrafted cocktails and elevated American fare — officially opened its first Dallas-Fort Worth location at 3980 Dallas Parkway in Plano. The opening marks the beginning of the brand’s expansion into North Texas.
As part of its introduction to Plano, J. Alexander’s will make a donation to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, a nationally recognized nonprofit providing hope to children and families affected by child abuse.
What To Expect
Guests can enjoy a menu focused on elevated American fare, complemented by an extensive wine list and handcrafted cocktails. Offerings include prime rib, hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, sushi, sandwiches and signature dishes such as the Thai kai chicken salad, steak Maui and avocado bomb. Every detail is designed to deliver a polished yet approachable dining experience.
The restaurant’s bar program features cocktails such as a spicy margarita, Kentucky old fashioned and lemon drop mojito, paired with a carefully selected wine list. The setting blends sophistication with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
“Bringing J. Alexander’s to the Dallas-Fort Worth area is a meaningful step in our continued growth and reflects our confidence in the state,” said G.J. Hart, CEO of SPB Hospitality. “Plano allows us to establish a strong foundation in North Texas, and we’re already looking ahead to expanding our presence with a second location in Prosper later this year. These communities are integral to our strategy as we continue to build momentum across the region.”
