Highland Park jewelry store Ylang 23 burglarized last week; owners say lost property includes some $500,000 in jewelry and other shop equipment

DALLAS — Police are investigating a burglary at a jewelry store in Highland Park in which they say three suspects broke into the business and stole what store ownership estimates to be $500,000 worth of goods.

According to the Highland Park Department of Public Safety, patrol officers responded at around 12:22 a.m. on Friday, Jan, 23, to a burglary alarm that had gone off at Ylang 23, a jewelry store located on the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue in the Shops of Highland Park.

Upon those officers’ arrival at the scene, police said they found the glass of the store’s front door shattered. Police said the officers then entered the store and searched its interior, finding smashed display cases inside. Police said no officers were found inside the building at that time, which was well after the store had closed for the night…
