WYLIE, Texas — Wylie Independent School District is investigating an incident at Wylie East High School after an outside religious organization distributed materials on campus without district approval, according to a letter sent to parents on Tuesday.
Video of the situation, which began circulating on social media Monday evening, involved representatives from the organization Why Islam, who were invited to the campus by a student club during lunch period.
According to district officials, the organization had not received approval to distribute materials or interact with students outside the club.
