Dallas Wakes in a Fog, Then Soaks Up Presidents’ Day Sunshine

Dallas rolled out of bed under a blanket of patchy, locally dense fog today, with visibility in some low-lying spots dropping below a half mile early this morning. By mid-morning, sunshine is expected to punch through the haze and send Presidents’ Day afternoon highs into the low 70s across the city.

The NWS Fort Worth reports that patchy fog could knock visibility down to less than a half mile in a few locations before 10 a.m.today, with low clouds thinning out as southerly winds pick up. Drivers are urged to stick with low beams, slow it down a bit, and allow extra time through river bottoms and other fog-prone corridors where the murk will be at its worst.
