Frisco elementary teacher arrested, charged with invasive visual recording

FRISCO, Texas — A Frisco ISD elementary school teacher has been arrested and charged with invasive visual recording, Frisco police said Tuesday.

According to police, 48-year-old Michael Cheek, a third-grade teacher who was employed at Billy Gene Phillips Elementary School, was charged with the state jail felony. If convicted, he faces a punishment of up to two years in jail and a fine of up $10,000.

Police say they became aware of misconduct allegations against Cheek, and immediately started working with the district while investigating the case…
