Irving Woman Charged After Assaulting Officer During Mental Health Incident

IRVING, Texas – Irving police arrested a 30-year-old woman after she allegedly assaulted an officer and attempted to flee during a call involving a possible mental health crisis on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

At approximately 8:59 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home in the 2400 block of Anderson St. near N. Story Rd. in North Irving regarding a suspicious circumstance. A resident reported that her roommate was possibly under the influence of narcotics and attempting to set the home on fire.

Responding officers, who were in fully marked uniforms and patrol vehicles, made contact with the roommate, identified as Janet Isidra Lopez, inside the residence and immediately detained her in handcuffs…
