Frisco Favorite Panj Tara Bets Big On Allen’s North Indian Dining Scene

Panj Tara, a Frisco-born North Indian kitchen, is heading east and bringing its Punjabi-style spread of butter chicken, shahi paneer and other staples to Allen in early March. The new spot is set to lean into fresh, from-scratch cooking in a more polished dining room, giving Collin County diners a fine dining option for North Indian cuisine without the drive to Frisco.

According to Community Impact, Panj Tara will move into 2025 W. McDermott Drive with an eye on an early March opening. Owner Amanpreet Singh told Community Impact, “We are a scratch kitchen. We cook everything fresh here. We are providing a fine dining experience.”

What to expect on the menu

The online menu on Panj Tara highlights familiar North Indian hits such as chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, shahi paneer and butter naan, mirroring what is offered at the Frisco original. The site also links to full menus and online ordering for the existing location.

Frisco roots and expansion

The brand planted its first flag in Frisco in 2025 at 8898 Coleman Blvd., and that location’s early buzz appears to have helped spur the Allen expansion, Community Impact reported. Local listings and delivery platforms show the Frisco restaurant operating regular lunch and dinner service ahead of the Allen debut.

Where it fits on McDermott

The Allen address lands Panj Tara in a compact shopping strip on McDermott Drive that already hosts several casual and sit-down eateries, putting it in the mix with other recent arrivals on the corridor, What Now Dallas reported.
