Little Bit Bakery in Frisco, Texas began as a pandemic hobby. Today, Angela Henson’s self-taught venture has boomed, bringing long lines of people to her neighborhood. And Henson is getting another bump thanks to American Idol star Kelly Clarkson.
Ahead of her performance at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Clarkson highlighted the home-grown success story of Little Bit Bakery in a March 13 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. The Burleson native chatted with Henson about the viral business run out of her parent’s garage- all based on the “honor system.”
“I open it on Saturdays and it’s funny because I’ll look out my window before I set up and people are lined up on my sidewalk, which is crazy so I usually label the baked goods with the price and I have my payment options out there and so I trust them to kind of add up their totals and pay with whatever option is best for them,” Henson told Clarkson.
“It’s special because they trust me to bake for them and then I trust them to pay me back and it’s honestly worked out better than I thought because I usually earn more than I’m supposed to since I count my inventory.”…
