According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the UNT Police Department posted a crime alert to X yesterday and said investigators “may already have sufficient information to identify the suspect.” The alert describes the man as an Indian male, about 5-foot-9 and between 25 and 27 years old, who is known to spend time near the music building and sometimes “pretends to be a student.” Authorities told the paper the victim considered him an acquaintance rather than a stranger.
