Spring, Sips And Stories: Local Profile Celebrates Its Latest Issue

Nothing says spring like relaxing on a plush patio set, cold drink in hand, good company all around. What makes it even better? A brand new issue of Local Profile Magazine. On March 24, Local Profile welcomed clients, partners and friends to Sunnyland Outdoor Living for a cover party celebrating the new March/April issue.

During the event, guests perused patio furniture at Sunnyland, finding inspiration and shopping for their outdoor needs. Art from various local artists was also available for purchase through the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco. While browsing, shopping and, of course, networking, guests enjoyed drinks from Saint Arnold Brewing Company, including several ice-cold beers and the new summer pilsner — because it is spring in Texas, and it already feels a lot like summer.

Food was provided by Chef to the Shelters, a North Texas-based nonprofit that serves meals to adults and adolescents in sober living homes, while also offering catering jobs to adults in recovery to develop culinary and hospitality skills. And no meal is complete without dessert: Texas-sized cookies from Sweet Tooth Society featured flavors like brown butter chocolate chip, red velvet and butter cake.

As guests enjoyed the food, drinks and art, the latest issue of Local Profile offered a deeper look at the stories and spaces shaping the heartbeat of North Texas. From an unexpected sisterhood forged through adversity and creativity to the rise of women’s professional volleyball, the issue highlights the region’s energy, passion and flavor. Hidden culinary gems, thriving local leaders and vibrant cultural experiences reveal a North Texas that is constantly redefining itself…
