KFC is planning to open a ‘sauce and sides forward’ spinoff restaurant in Texas

Frisco, Texas, is gettin’ saucy.

KFC’s new fast-food concept, Saucy by KFC, described by parent company Yum! Brands as a “sauce and sides forward” restaurant, is set to open in Texas later this year.

A free-standing 2,780-square-foot Saucy by KFC is planned at U.S. 380 and FM 423 in northern Frisco, according to a permit filed Monday with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The $4 million project is expected to be built between mid‑June and mid‑November, The Chron reports.
