SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Representatives of Angelo State University’s Ram Media brought home 11 awards at the recent Texas Intercollegiate Press Association Convention in Denton, Texas.
According to ASU, “The TIPA journalism/media competition consists of two parts – the Annual Contest that solicits submission of entries previously published or broadcast in the past academic year, and the Live Contests that take place between students attending the convention.”
ASU lists the following students who won awards in the Annual Contest:
- Jacob Flint of San Angelo – 1st Place in Editorial (Ram Page)
- Aubrie Aguilar of Marfa – 2nd Place in General News Story (Ram TV)
- Ram TV – 2nd Place in Video Newscast
- Serena Reese of Robert Lee – Honorable Mention in Feature Story (Ram Page)
- Haylie Anicama of San Angelo – Honorable Mention in Graphic Illustration (Ram Page)
- Serena Reese and Anaomy Somoll of Phnom Penh, Cambodia – Honorable Mention in Sports Game Story (Ram Page)

- Jennifer “JJ” Jones of Rising Star – 1st Place in Live News Photo
- Ram Media – 2nd Place in Hype Video

- Jennifer “JJ” Jones – Honorable Mention in Live TV Advertising
