STEPHENVILLE, Texas — A 23-year-old man was shot and killed late Thursday night near Tarleton State University, and a Dallas woman has been arrested in connection with his death.
Stephenville Police responded around 11:59 p.m. on April 2 to a reported shooting in the 300 block of South Lillian Avenue, near Newman Hall. Officers found Devonte Johnson, 23, of Maine, inside a residence with an apparent gunshot wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators identified 20-year-old Lorena Yamileth Miranda of Dallas as being involved in the incident. She was arrested and charged with Manslaughter and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 with Intent to Distribute…
