Rangers’ top pitching prospects highlight Double-A Frisco’s star-studded rotation

As the Texas Rangers’ Double-A Affiliate in Frisco enters its first weekend of the season, they are 4-2 driven by an electric offense that has scored 46 runs and backed by a trio of some of the organization’s top arms.

While the Rangers’ farm system isn’t the strongest in baseball, there is a plethora of pitching talent on rosters of the team’s four minor league teams that are slowly making big time headlines. Three of those pitchers are situated in the top half of the Roughrider’s weekly rotation.

Davalilllo, Lopez and Santos among Rangers’ top 15 prospects

The Roughriders can make a case of having one of the best rotations in all of Minor League Baseball, if not the best among all 30 Double-A organizations thanks to right-handers David Davalillo, Leandro Lopez and Winston Santos.

All three are 24 years of ago or younger and got their first taste of Double-A action midway through the 2025 season. After impressing their and getting a chance to showcase a bit of their skills either in the Arizona Fall League of spring training, they returned to Frisco ready to rise up the ranks…
