Denton will soon be getting an ice cream shop that makes the already sweet treat even sweeter by serving it up with a side of purpose and kindness. Howdy Home Made Ice Cream, a concept that “harnesses the hope and hard work of people with special needs”, is opening a shop in Aubrey, with construction slated to start this summer.
Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that the scoop shop will be getting a newly constructed home at 26564 E University Drive, Suite 200. The building will span 1,400 square feet.
Work is projected to begin on Howdy Home Made on August 1 of this year and estimated to wrap by December 31. Given these projections, it seems the shop will likely open in early 2027…
