Changes coming to 650 Walmart stores this year: What customers can expect

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Hundreds of Walmart locations across the country are set to be remodeled later this year, the company announced on Thursday.

The Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer said in a news release that it plans to continue making a “significant investment” in its stores in 2026.

Walmart said that more than 650 stores, including Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets, are scheduled to be remodeled this year.

Which stores will be renovated?

While Walmart has yet to release a full list of the stores set for remodeling, some locations in the following states have already been announced: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah and Virginia…
