Kouchan Ramen, a Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen chain popular in Japan, is opening its first United States location in Plano later this year.
Tonkotsu ramen is a milky-white broth made by boiling pork bones over high heat for hours. According to the website, Kouchan’s noodles are prepared fresh in-house and combined with a proprietary seasoning base, oversized slices of chashu pork and green onions.
