Surging North Texas suburb ranked among best places to live in the US

People new to the state, as well as those already living in Texas, are always looking for the best possible place to establish a home. Luckily, U.S. News & World Report releases its list of the best places to live in the country every single year.

In the latest report of the 250 best places to live in 2026-27, the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Flower Mound was ranked the No. 3 best place to live in the country and the No. 1 best place to live in Texas. Flower Mound is located north of the two major metros, past Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, and bordering Grapevine Lake.

Flower Mound’s population grew from over 64,000 in 2010 to more than 81,000 in 2024, according to Flower Mound Economic Development. The population is projected to exceed 110,000 by 2045…
