OCALA, Florida — A 46-year-old Ocala man has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, according to United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe.
Jimmy Deon Lofton faces a minimum penalty of five years and up to 40 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled. The plea agreement revealed that on July 1, 2025, the Marion County Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team (UDEST) executed a search warrant at Lofton’s residence. Agents discovered approximately 173 grams of fentanyl, 31 grams of methamphetamine, 260 grams of MDMA, and over 1,000 grams of cocaine, some of which were buried in an ammunition can in the backyard.
Additionally, agents obtained a search warrant for a home security DVR system installed at Lofton’s home, which revealed numerous videos of him packaging and dealing controlled substances at the residence.
