GAINESVILLE, Florida — Terry Lajace Lee, a 43-year-old resident of Gainesville, has been indicted on a federal charge of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Lee made his initial appearance before United States Magistrate Judge Midori A. Lowry at the United States Courthouse in Gainesville, with a trial set for July 22, 2026, before Chief District Court Judge Allen C. Winsor. If convicted, Lee could face up to 15 years in prison, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
The case was investigated by the Gainesville Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Adam Hapner.
