Federal and local law enforcement officials are warning parents about an alarming, growing number of child sextortion and online exploitation cases, saying emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence are creating new dangers for children online.
During a Sept. 1 press conference at Gainesville Police Department headquarters, GPD Chief Nelson Moya and local FBI Supervisor Matt Riser said child sextortion cases are increasing at the local, state and national levels.
