Frost Possible and Feels-Like Temperatures in the 30s for Tallahassee, Gainesville, Pensacola, and Ocala as Powerful Cold Front Sweeps Florida Next Weekend

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Forecast models are starting to agree that a powerful cold front will sweep across Florida next weekend. The front could bring feels-like temperatures in the 30s and 40s to much of the state by Sunday, November 15. Frost is possible in parts of north Florida. Even South Florida could feel a noticeable chill behind the front.

Feels-Like Temperatures in the 30s Across North Florida

The coldest air is expected across the Panhandle and north Florida. Feels-like temperatures in the 30s are shown from Pensacola and Panama City east to Tallahassee and Jacksonville. The cold zone also reaches south to Gainesville, Ocala, and parts of the Nature Coast.

Frost is possible in some inland areas of north Florida, especially in rural and low-lying spots. Areas near the Georgia border have the best chance. Frost can damage sensitive plants left outside.

Central Florida Feels Like the 40s

Much of central Florida is expected to feel like the 40s on Sunday morning. That includes Orlando, Tampa, Lakeland, and Daytona Beach. Areas near Sarasota and inland toward Sebring could also feel like the 40s.

That will be a big change from the warm, humid mornings Florida often sees in November. Breezy north winds behind the front will make it feel even colder. A heavy jacket may be needed for early outdoor plans.

South Florida Feels Like the 50s and 60s

South Florida will be milder but still cooler than usual. Areas near Fort Myers, Naples, West Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale could feel like the 50s. Miami and the Florida Keys may feel like the 60s…
