GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida will hold its annual Orange and Blue spring game on Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m. ET, the program announced on Thursday, for what will be the team’s third and final scrimmage of its 2024 spring training camp.

Admission to the spring scrimmage will be free.

Players will report for camp at the beginning of March with the first of 15 practices taking place on Thursday, March 7. Practices will occur each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, without sessions the week of March 10-16 during UF’s campus-wide spring break. One Friday workout will occur on April 5.

Florida initially planned to host its spring game, which is open to fans, on Thursday, April 18, according to Graham Hall of Swamp247. It held the annual exhibition on a Thursday over Billy Napier’s first two offseasons in charge of the Gators, a method the head coach has considered beneficial relative to UF’s football recruiting efforts.

“It don’t matter when you play at the University of Florida. If your staff is working really hard, there’s a lot of talent that can get in the car and drive here,” Napier said last April after the 2023 spring game. “We’ll make a decision each year in what we think is the best from a recruiting strategy standpoint, and I think it paid off today.”
