EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — On Sunday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced the closure of multiple roads in Pennsylvania.
PennDOT announced Sunday afternoon that Route 3004 (Creek Road), between Millmont Road and Shirk Road is closed for flooding.
Later Sunday evening, PennDOT reported Route 3006, Heister Valley Road, was closed due to reported downed utilities and trees. This road is now reopened.
In Wayne County, PennDOT also reported Route 3026 in Canaan Township was closed Sunday night due to downed utilities. This road has now been reopened.

Drivers are cautioned by PennDOT to not drive through flooded roads as it takes only two feet of fast-moving water to float a car.
PennDOT also explained those who ignore traffic control signs or go around barriers closing roads could face larger penalties if emergency crews are called to rescue them.
