A 64-year-old Chiefland man was critically injured when he was hit by a pickup on State Road 121 south of Williston on Tuesday morning. According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 25-year-old Dunnellon woman was driving a 2019 Toyota Tacoma south on County Road 337 at 6:40 a.m. and was approaching the intersection at State Road 121. Due to diminished visibility from fog and smoke in the area, all southbound traffic was being rerouted to travel north on SR 121.
