The University of Florida (UF) will host its annual Gator Nation Giving Day on Thursday, February 15. This 24-hour fundraising event, now in its sixth year, invites UF alumni, students, faculty, staff, families, and friends worldwide to contribute. The day aims to support areas such as innovation, research, student access, enrichment, and faculty excellence. It showcases the positive impact of the Gator community’s collective support for the university’s research, education, and outreach efforts.

The Gator Nation Giving Day plays a crucial role in supporting UF’s land-grant mission, IFAS Extension. This mission impacts more lives around the state than any other part of the university. Its beneficiaries include graduates from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS), recipients of UF/IFAS scientific research, county Extension office educational program participants, and 4-H camp attendees. UF/IFAS’s teaching, research, and extension work benefits hundreds of thousands of people annually.
