Gas prices continued upward this week as the Gainesville area increased to a 2024-high of $3.67 per gallon. According to the AAA’s weekly gas report sent on Thursday, the cost at the pump rose eight cents per gallon from last week’s $3.59. In Florida, the statewide average went from $3.56 to $3.64, and nationally the prices edged up four cents from $3.63 to $3.67.
