At the start of April, the Gators hosted one of the premier 2025 tight ends in Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh 4-star Andrew Olesh .
Since then, the On3 top-100 prospect has included Florida in his top eight and could ultimately set an official visit for the summertime.
Olesh, 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, is On3’s No. 3-ranked tight end and No. 79-ranked prospect overall.
“Missouri and Florida are battling for that date on June 7,” Olesh told Gators Online on Wednesday.
If the Gators are able to secure that date, much credit will be sent to tight ends coach Russ Callway . That relationship is one of Olesh’s better ones in the recruiting process and only getting stronger.
“The big thing about coach Callaway is he isn’t just a football coach,” Olesh said. “He is a very personable guy and wants to know more about me and my family, therefore wants to be close with all of us. He’s not only just about football. It almost feels like family, you know?”
