Gators battling Georgia and others for 4-star DB Jaylan Morgan

During the weekend of May 31, the Florida Gators welcomed over a dozen official visitors to Gainesville. One of them was Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Rockvale safety Jaylan Morgan .

Morgan, a 4-star prospect, is the No. 24 safety and No. 251 prospect overall in his class. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking , a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

“The official visit was really good and I had a great time,” Morgan told Gators Online. “They have great people and I got to spend time with coach (Billy) Napier and the rest of the staff and getting to know them. The relationship I had with them at the time was kind of short, but it was a good time being there.”

When Morgan arrived for his OV, it marked the start of his second experience in Gainesville, as he also visiting during the spring. What makes the SEC program an intriguing option altogether?

“I’d definitely say the coaching staff. The coaching staff is unbelievable,” said Morgan. “It starts with (secondary) coach (Will) Harris . He reminds me a lot of my dad and acts just like him. He gives me life advice and recruiting advice. All around, he gives me good recruiting advice I can take to other schools.”
