On Wednesday, a Gainesville man allegedly attempted to run over a man with his car following a heated argument about money. Reuben Manning confronted the man from his vehicle about money he owed him, leading to a verbal altercation. While the victim was walking through the parking lot, Manning yelled “I’m going to kill you cracker,” and accelerated forward in an attempt to run him over. The victim was struck by the vehicle and flew over the hood, sustaining injuries that required medical treatment, according to the arrest report.
