4-star OL from Tampa set for another Florida visit

After a strong experience at Florida during the spring, 4-star offensive lineman Johnnie Jones is ready to set foot in the Swamp once again.

Luckily for both parties, a return trip is scheduled for the Gators’ season opener against Miami. That trip on Aug. 31 will mark the rising junior’s fourth trip to Gainesville.

Jones, a 2026 prospect from Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep, is the No. 175 prospect and No. 16 offensive tackle in the On3 Industry Ranking , a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting companies.

“I don’t have a list (of top schools). I treat all schools with the same amount of respect, but I will say they are one of the schools I like based off the skill and development of players,” Jones said of UF when speaking with Gators Online. “The work ethic and knowledge from the o-line coaches is now rubbing off on the players.”

For Jones, another plus on the Florida Gators’ side is the amount of attention they show.
