Kissimmee man arrested for stalking UF student

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Enrique Manuel Montalvo, 23, was arrested yesterday and charged with aggravated stalking after allegedly driving to Gainesville numerous times to follow an ex-girlfriend, sending her messages from 30 different phone numbers, and creating Instagram accounts to post embarrassing pictures of her.

Over a three-month period since July, Montalvo has allegedly called and texted the victim, who reportedly told him multiple times that she did not want any further contact with him. He allegedly sent her more than 50 text messages from 30 different phone numbers.

Montalvo allegedly created multiple Instagram accounts to post embarrassing pictures of the victim that were not sexually explicit but showed her in the bathroom, for example. He also allegedly posted her address, phone number, and other personal information on public Instagram posts. He also reportedly send friend requests to her friends for the purpose of finding out which events she was attending.

On August 22, Montalvo reportedly saw an Instagram post of the victim with another man and allegedly began repeatedly calling her phone, saying he was driving up to Gainesville. A few hours later, he allegedly arrived at her apartment, searched the parking garage for her car, and sent her photos of her car, saying he would be watching it all night. The victim said this made her afraid for her life.
