No. 5 Texas came to play against Florida in Week 11.
After a couple of rocky performances against Georgia and Vanderbilt, the Longhorns enjoyed a bye in Week 11. It appears to have been beneficial to several players, none more than starting quarterback Quinn Ewers.

After missing 2.5 games earlier this season due to an abdominal strain, Ewers had poor performances against Oklahoma and Georgia before a mediocre showing against Vanderbilt. Ewers has fortunately returned to form against Florida on Saturday.
Texas’ signal-caller threw a season-high four touchdowns in the first half against the Gators. Texas entered halftime with a 35-0 lead over Florida and Ewers’ impressive play has been key.
Ewers concluded the first half 17-o f -25 for 297 passing yards and four touchdowns. Those stats could have been even better if it weren’t for a few drops by his wide receivers, primarily DeAndre Moore’s bobble in the endzone toward the end of the half in what would have been Ewers’ fifth touchdown pass of the game.
