LAKE CITY, Fla. – A 9-year-old is in a Gainesville hospital recovering after she was hit by a car in Lake City, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. On Thursday morning, the girl’s mother said she took her to the bus stop, watched her get out of the vehicle and walk toward her bus, according to News 6 partner WJXT.
