The Burger King at 3902 SW 40th Blvd in Gainesville, Florida, received several violations during a recent inspection by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation.
According to state records, on November 5, 2024, the popular fast-food chain obtained a warning and was cited for seven violations, including three high-priority infractions.
The inspection revealed a mix of high-priority, intermediate, and basic violations at this Alachua County eatery. With three high-priority, two intermediate, and two basic violations, the restaurant now requires a follow-up inspection to address these issues.
This is What Happened During The Inspection
Among the high-priority violations, inspectors found time/temperature management safety food not properly discarded after the designated 4-hour period. This resulted in a stop sale being issued for iced coffees in a reach-in cooler.
Additionally, the inspector revealed plumbing issues at the mop sink, raising unease about potential backflow.
Meanwhile, intermediate violations included food-contact surfaces dirtied with litter and a lack of proof of required state-approved employee training.
