MELROSE, Florida — A man was arrested following a shooting incident in the Speedville area of Melrose, according to the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office. The victim, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body, was transported to UF Shands in Gainesville with non-life-threatening injuries.On November 30, 2024, deputies responded to the scene where detectives discovered that an altercation had occurred at the residence of Michael Robinson, who also resides in the area. During the confrontation, Robinson allegedly retrieved a handgun and fired at the victim, emptying the partially loaded magazine. He then reportedly set aside the handgun, obtained a long gun, and fired multiple times, striking the victim again in the lower body. Robinson was subsequently arrested for attempted second-degree murder, stated the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office.
