Home for the holidays: Alachua Habitat for Humanity, CPPI, and Santa Fe College celebrate Tolkeith’s home dedication

Press release from Alachua Habitat for Humanity

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua Habitat for Humanity invites the community to join in a festive celebration as Toikeith’s new home is dedicated this holiday season. The dedication ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 19, at 4 p.m. at 334 NE 20th Terrace, Gainesville, FL 32641.

Thanks to the collaboration between Alachua Habitat, Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI), and Santa Fe College’s Charles R. Perry Construction Institute, Toikeith will celebrate his first holiday season in a home he helped build.

This “Home for the Holidays” dedication represents the third home fully sponsored by CPPI and constructed by Santa Fe College construction students. Students at the Charles R. Perry Construction Institute built the home’s foundation in sections, which were then carefully transported to its current site and completed by Alachua Habitat volunteers. CPPI team members contributed over 200 volunteer hours, working alongside Toikeith and Habitat partners to bring this project to life.
