Paul Finebaum appeared on Wednesday night’s edition of SEC Network in anticipation of the conference’s schedule release for the 2025 season. He went ahead and named which SEC team had the hardest schedule.
Finebaum believed the SEC team with the most challenging schedule in 2025 was the Florida Gators. Florida was considered to have one of the toughest strength of schedules this season and managed to make a bowl game at 7-5.
Here’s how Florida’s 2025 schedule looks:
Aug. 30: Long Island
Sept. 6: USF
Sept. 13: LSU
Sept. 20: Miami
Oct. 4: Texas
Oct. 11: Texas A&M
Oct. 18: Mississippi State
Nov. 1: Georgia
Nov. 8: Kentucky
Nov. 15: Ole Miss
Nov. 22: Tennessee
Nov. 29: Florida State
“Same as last year, it’s Florida,” Finebaum said. “It’s really brutal. There’s an open week in the middle of this, but Florida is at LSU, at Miami. They have Texas at home and Texas A&M. So much excitement, so much momentum with that program with DJ Lagway. Billy Napier got a bounce back last year, but he has to be able to show significant improvement, and this is where we are going to find out whether he has done that or not.”
