Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gregory Fred Gregoire, 55, was arrested yesterday after allegedly pushing a woman to the ground and then threatening to “put a bullet” in the arresting deputy’s brain.

At about 10:35 a.m. on December 24, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a home in the 7700 block of NE Waldo Road, where Gregoire was reportedly arguing with the victim while gathering his belongings to leave the home. The deputy reported that he saw Gregoire push the victim to the ground, where she landed on a pile of shattered glass and suffered minor injuries to one hand.

Post Miranda, Gregoire reportedly admitted that he shoved the victim but said she shoved him first; the deputy reported that he never saw the victim touch or strike Gregoire.

On the way to the jail, Gregoire allegedly said he wished the deputy would die and then said he would put a bullet in the deputy’s brain; he also allegedly said that he would fight the deputy when the handcuffs were removed at the jail.
