GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Locals looking for a party to count in the New Year after fireworks at Depot Park on Tuesday can simply cross the street for live music, a dance party, and a midnight toast at South Main Station. South Main Station’s third annual New Year’s Eve Diamond Disco Dance Party starts after fireworks at 7 p.m. on December 31. South Main Station is located across the street from Depot Park and will also provide a paid parking option for guests and families attending the fireworks display.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and gather around the fire for live music from 7-9 p.m. on the outdoor stage, featuring folk pop by local favorites Jordan Burchel, Sam Moss, Collin Whitlock, and Audrey Campbell.
DJ A-Train, winner of 2023 Miami DJ of the Year, will kick off the dance party at 9 p.m., spinning hits from every decade. DJ A-Train, AKA Aaron Canner, is a Gainesville-grown and now Miami-based artist. Aaron travels the world playing clubs in Asia, Europe, and America. He mixes classic dance songs from multiple decades into hypnotic, beat-driven tracks that make it impossible to stay off the dance floor.
