Florida Gators recruiting hot streak snapped by latest transfer portal commitment

Over the last 4-6 weeks, the Florida Gators and head coach Billy Napier have been on a recruiting heater .

The Gators finished with the 11th-ranked recruiting class in the nation after flipping multiple four-star recruits ahead of early signing day. They also came out swinging afterward by landing five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson and transfer portal wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant .

Florida lost out on transfer portal commitment to Washington

On Christmas Eve, the Gators were predicted to land Texas wide receiver Johntay Cook via the transfer portal. It would have been a huge addition to a rebuilt wide receiver room.
