Florida cute Maltese puppy can no longer be adopted due to health issues

The New Year was supposed to be the turning point for a Florida puppy, but it wasn’t the turn this lovely pet was hoping for.

Humphrey, a senior Maltese and Bichon Frise mix in Gainesville, Florida, was seeking a loving forever home this year, but he, unfortunately, will not be available for adoption due to health references. Southern Comfort Maltese Rescue (SCMR) revealed on the pet’s adoption page that Humphrey’s declining health has led to the decision to keep him in his current foster home.

The small, white male dog was previously seeking a new family for the New Year, but SCMR determined it would be in Humphrey’s best interest to remain in familiar surroundings with his foster siblings.

The organization shared that Humphrey, who requires treatment for poly-arthritis, is now under the care of his foster family. While Humphrey is no longer available for adoption, SCMR welcomes sponsors to support his ongoing medical care. Donors can have their names featured on Humphrey’s website as sponsor angels.
