Kissimmee man on pre-trial release arrested for continuing to stalk ex-girlfriend

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Enrique Manuel Montalvo, 24, of Kissimmee, was arrested on December 31 for allegedly violating a no-contact order with the victim in a previous stalking case .

Montalvo was originally arrested on September 21 after allegedly driving to Gainesville numerous times to follow an ex-girlfriend, sending her messages from 30 different phone numbers, and creating Instagram accounts to post embarrassing pictures of her. At his First Appearance hearing, Judge James Colaw ordered him to have no contact with the victim in that case, a UF student who lives in Gainesville. The no-contact order was reiterated in another hearing on October 15, and Montalvo reportedly acknowledged that he understood the order.

After Judge Phillip Pena denied a motion from the State Attorney’s office to hold Montalvo without bail until trial, Montalvo was released on $30,000 bail under the condition that he not return to Gainesville except for court hearings and not contact the victim in any way.
