OCALA, Fla. (WFLA) — A 15-year-old boy wanted for armed attempted robbery was brought to Florida deputies to be turned in, by his own mother, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

On Dec. 17, deputies said a victim was sitting in his car, parked outside the Qwik King convenience store, located on Oak Road in Ocala.

That’s when a teen boy reportedly approached the victim and asked for money.

When the victim told him no, the teen pulled down a ski mask and pointed a gun at the victim, demanding money and for him to get out of the car, officials said.

The suspect, who believed the victim to also be armed, fled the scene on a bike.

Following the incident, detectives shared a photo snapped from a security camera outside the store.
