Alachua woman arrested for attacking two men

Staff report

ALACHUA, Fla. – Indiria Rashicka Collins, 45, was arrested yesterday after allegedly entering a house and attacking two men; she was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and MDPV.

At about 8:48 p.m. on January 4, Alachua Police Department officers responded to a house in the 14100 block of NW 167th Place in Alachua, where the victims reportedly said Collins had walked into the house and stomped on the stomach of the first victim, who was lying on a couch in the living room.

A second man said he was also in the living room and saw Collins stomp the first man, so he tried to get Collins to leave the house. He said Collins turned around and punched him several times and then left.

A short time later, Collins reportedly returned while officers were still at the house and was arrested on two counts of battery. A search incident to arrest reportedly produced a baggie with 0.4 grams of methamphetamine and a second baggie containing 0.2 grams of MDPV.

Collins has been charged with two counts of battery and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. She has one misdemeanor conviction for a traffic offense; Judge Sean Brewer set bail at $100,000.
