SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – This storm will go down in the history books as a winter storm warning is in effect from the Panhandle down to Gainesville up to Jacksonville. We are under a cold weather advisory as wind chills will be dropping into the mid 30s to start things off on Wednesday morning. This cold weather advisory is in effect through 10 am on Wednesday. We will continue to see the showers moving in from the Gulf through early Wednesday morning. The winds will be picking up behind the front turning to the north at 10-20 mph with gale force winds out on the waters at 30-40 mph. A small craft advisory is in effect. through Wednesday.
We will see another cold start on Thursday with lows in the low to mid 40s don’t think we will see another cold weather advisory tomorrow night but Thursday night Friday morning we could once again see wind chills below the advisory level which is 35 degrees.
The rain chance is out of here by Friday and should stay dry through the weekend and into next week.
There has already been 5 1/2 inches of snow in Pensacola already and more is on the way. Tallahassee will see the rain change over to snow this evening and they could see 2-4 inch accumulations by sunrise on Wednesday…
