GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – TV20 meteorologist Stuart Baker got to visit the Caring and Sharing Learning School this morning to do a presentation on weather with 5th graders. The students got to learn about why weather is important and how it effects their daily lives.
Most of the topics covered in the presentation will also be covered on the state testing coming up this spring, including natural disasters, precipitation types and the water cycle.
“It’s very important, in fact it’s a state standard. Our students have to learn weather and they have to learn the components of weathering and erosion, some of the things you talked to us about today. And it’s something that they’ll have to take with them because they’ll revisit it again,” says teacher Cynthia Tennell…
