North Central Florida unemployment rates fall as home sales rise

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Newly released state data gives an insight into the Florida economy as we start 2025. The state unemployment rate for December 2024 was unchanged from the month prior while home sales and prices rose year over year.

According to data released by the Florida Commerce Department, the joblessness rate dropped in all North Central Florida counties from November to December.
